It’s a sunny day out, and you go for a walk in your flip flops
to drop by my place because you had some extra tomatoes you picked
out from your garden. My doors are unlocked as you step in to say hi.
Oh look! I have some extra chili oil I made
I can give to you too! We chat for 2 hours over tea.
It’s only noon.

Last summer I went to visit my grandparents in Yunnan China, and my grandfather gave me a bunch of dried chili and black pepper.
So since I was making chili oil at home, I wanted to make some more to share with friends. This turned into a passion branding project and a tee shirt merch launch as well.
Tee shirts are for sale, but the chili oil will be application for barter only.
This is because:
I have very limited jars and ingredients to make chili oil
2. I love the concept of exchanging our abundance with each other.
In my visit to Yunnan, I saw that my grandpa spends his time making food or weaving baskets, and when his friends stop by with fruits like mangos or asian pears, they will exchange their labours of love with each other.
I want to connect with my community more like this.
